For general daily use, I recommend beginning with your favorite bible in your most favorite version (i.e. NLT MSG ESV NKJV, etc.)
In my opinion, the best way to begin our day is with an encouraging scripture that we can “chew” on all day and reflect on as many times as necessary. By doing so we can initiate a peaceful mindset no matter what our schedules have in store for us.
Recovery Bible
I prefer the Recovery Bible NLT version. I have a leather-bound copy & I also use the YouVersion app for when I’m on the go. The Recovery Bible has footnotes at the bottom of each page that give a quick but precise summary of the scriptures on those pages. It also offers topical devotionals that are very helpful in understanding certain situations we can find ourselves in.
Gratitude Journal
As I think about all that has to take place in my day, I feel relieved when I take down notes or little reminders about instances I want to remember or moments I didn’t capture in a photo. Once I have it written down I immediately feel a sense of relief and, oddly enough, a sense of accomplishment. Funny how something so simple can be significant later on in life. It truly is the little things that count.
Daily Planner
This planner is one of my favorites because I can fill in the dates as I go rather than having to follow a predated agenda. It helps me not feel so restricted. I don’t feel obligated to input unnecessary information but feel that I can just place my desired entries as I please.
Pens
I use a variety of pens. I love the smooth abilities of the Sharpie S-Gel Pen. I also enjoy using an array of color gel pens because I am a doodler and I like to see pops of color. They are very aesthetically pleasing and satisfying to write with. I prefer BIC Gel-ocity Quick Dry Pens.
